I think we’ve all had times where we felt like we weren’t saved, which can be caused by many things: we did something we thought was “really bad”, we felt distanced from God, He didn’t seem real, we questioned some part of what we believe, etc. I’m glad that, just because we’re having a non-spiritual day, our salvation status doesn’t change! Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Paul said to “believe in thine heart”, not depend on our mind, circumstances, or anything else. (I think he worded it that way because he knew we’d run into times of disbelief.) I don’t know about you, but I find it pretty easy to just believe in my heart. I may not be able to wrap my mind around the existence of God, but in my heart, I simply believe it. And that’s what matters.
