"For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant." ~ 1 Corinthians 7:22
Wow, how's that for a paradox?? (I Yahooed "paradox", and I'm pretty sure it fits hereĀ ) When we are called to be the Lord's servant, we're actually set free; when we are set free in Jesus, we become His servant! (I'm often amazed at how long it takes me to get things, lol.) As I look at this verse now, it makes perfect sense, and I feel like I was enlightened to it a long time ago. But I wasn't. And whenever I learn something new, I have to pass it on! So, for those of you who don't already know, when we accept Jesus, we become His freed servant and His enslaved free person!
