It's so funny how God ties things together! About a month or so ago, our pastor brought one of my songs, "It's Yours", to mind when he used that phrase a few times during his sermons. I thought how parts of the song tied in to the church-wide "Experiencing God" study we're doing. Shortly after, I found out I was going to sing yesterday morning, so I knew what song I needed to do. The unfortunate part was that I needed someone to play it, and that meant finding someone who had the time to work with it. Thankfully, one of our pianists, Mrs. Karen, was able to help me. She went so far above and beyond what needed to be done just to play it yesterday - she even created sheet music for it! When Bro. Bruce started the sermon, I felt like I was getting even more confirmation that I was doing the right song, because the first Scripture we read contained the exact words of my first verse (but maybe in a different order)! But, I can't help laughing when I remember the circumstances that created the song (if memory is serving me well). I wrote it in the middle of a pity party, lol. That's not something I throw very often, and it doesn't last long, but let's face it, life can bring us down, and we can get discouraged! And I was definitely discouraged...I felt like nobody thought that my Kingdom work was important, and they just didn't care! Just another example of how God can bring something good out of something not-so-good :)
