Hey, y’all!  I’m Tori.

I’m a Gospel singer, songwriter, comedienne, actress, writer, and I travel full-time in ministry.  Most importantly, I’m a woman who loves Jesus and loves telling people about Him!

For more than 21 years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing the Gospel through music, ministry, stories, and a little clean Southern humor (since 2017).  It doesn’t matter if I’m singing a familiar hymn, sharing something God has been teaching me, or making somebody laugh, my hope is always the same:  that people leave encouraged, reminded of God’s goodness, and maybe smiling a little bigger than when they arrived.

The Journey

I grew up in the little map-dot town of Foxworth, Mississippi.  After graduation, I moved to Hattiesburg, to attend The University of Southern Mississippi.  My plans included a high-rise corner office overlooking New Orleans, but God had other, better plans!

It’s a long story that began in 2004, when Lord called me to ministry.  He began opening doors and setting up divine appointments that all worked together to get me where I am, today.  That initial calling has become a journey I’m still living, and one I’m incredibly grateful for.

For four seasons, God took me on an unexpected detour to Biblical Times Dinner Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  I became part of the cast and performed in more than 300 shows.  My comedic character, Lula Bell, was part of nearly 250 of those performances.

That season gave me some wonderful memories, plenty of laughs, and experiences I never could have planned for myself.  In January 2025, I stepped away from the theater and returned to full-time traveling ministry, something I’d waited for for 20 years!  Being able to concentrate on my Kingdom work in churches, senior living communities, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, retirement homes, and other gatherings is the greatest blessing I’ve ever experienced!

And here I am, still singing, still traveling, still laughing, still learning, and still seeing where God leads next!

Why I Do What I Do

At the heart of everything I do is a simple desire:  to share Jesus.

Sometimes that happens through a song.  Sometimes through a story.  Sometimes through a word of encouragement.  And sometimes, well…it happens through Lula Bell. 😂

Wherever this journey takes me, I want my life and ministry to point people back to the Lord.  I believe there is still power in an old hymn, beauty in a simple testimony, joy in a good laugh, and hope in knowing that God is with us right where we are.

So, whether you came here for the music, the ministry, the stories, the laughs, or simply because you're curious about the woman behind it all, I'm glad you're here 🙂

Come along for the journey.

"Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

- Psalm 37:4

This is one of my most-trusted life verses.  I'm thankful that, over the years, the desires of my heart have become the desires of HIS heart!  I think this means that He'll instill in us what we desire, not that He'll give us what we desire.  But, once our desires become His desires, we're more likely to see them come to pass, because they're essentially His plans!

MY SALVATION EXPERIENCE

We all have a story.  As Christians, we all have a Jesus story. Most come with a preface, but the first chapter begins with our salvation experience.  I consider myself very blessed to have grown up in a Christian home, with a mother who had me at church every time the doors were open (my preface).  For the majority of people in our little South Mississippi town, that was just a way of life.  Because I started learning about Jesus at an early age, I suppose it’s no surprise that I asked Him into my heart when I was six years old.  We had moved from Foxworth, MS to Hammond, LA, and we found the most wonderful church – just up the road at Natalbany Baptist Church (and Christian School, which I attended).  I loved our pastor, Bro. Rodney Taylor.  During the invitation one Sunday morning in July (or was it August?? I wish I remembered!), I felt like I wanted to go down front and tell him I wanted to be saved, but I guess I was a little scared.  Instead, I discussed it with my two imaginary friends – yes, you read that right – and after church was over, I gathered my courage and my friends and found Bro. Rodney.  I didn’t really know what to say, and I really don’t remember what I actually did say, but I recall that this is how the conversation was supposed to go in my mind: “Bro. Rodney, can little babies be saved?”  “Yes, Tori, they can.”  “Well, I’m a little baby.”  LOL!  Hey, I was six!  The point is, I wasn’t sure of anything but that the Spirit was telling me I needed Jesus, and that was all I needed to know.  So, that morning, I was adopted into the Family of God!  That was the beginning of the first chapter, and many, many chapters have been written since then.  Every day, the book of my life gets longer, and I hope it is a blessing, an encouragement, and a learning tool for all who read it!

A Few "Heart Thoughts" -

I believe that music and comedy are two of God's greatest gifts to mankind, and I'm honored that He would allow me to share, not one, but both of those with people!  This world is full of despair, so each moment we find to laugh is precious.  I want to reach anybody that I can through the songs that I share - and, yes, even the comedy! - but I feel that my main purpose is to edify the Body.  As Christians, we can't reach those around us if we're not in good spiritual shape, ourselves.  There was a time in my life when that wasn't important to me, when I was trying to be both in the world and of the world.  Thankfully, the Lord used that to bring me even closer to Him so that I'd be better equipped to do the work He's called me to do.
